Senior Business Analyst | London | Hybrid (2 Days per week) | Up to £65K Excellent Package Hydras IT are currently working on behalf of a leading property management software organisation based in Central London. They are looking to hire a senior business analyst which will move into an eventual Lead role. The team works on the creative area of the business and known for the innovation and creative improvement of a highly successful web-based app. The team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Property Management software/Accounting software background which is essential to support the team in shaping the future of their products, ensuring quality releases and supporting clients when the need arises. The Role: A Senior Business Analyst should be able to understand, evaluate and generate business requirements from communication with colleagues and clients, and be able to translate them into business and technical proposals for new software. As Senior Business Analyst, you would work closely with other analysts, developers and the wider teams. The ability to describe requirements and business processes to developers who have no business/product knowledge, and are involved in all stages of software development, from research, analysis, design and testing through to fault finding. Key Responsibilities Gathering insights and requirements from clients, client-facing departments and independent research to inform the evolution of core products. Creating feature projects and user stories for Agile development. Representing the business side when explaining requirements and reviewing new work by the development team. Contributing and often leading the design and evolution of products. Agreeing acceptance criteria. Writing and executing test plans. Functional review. Providing internal and second line support. Reporting bugs and requested improvements. Being an evangelist for product suite Mentoring more junior members of staff. Recording and evaluating reported client issues. Demonstrate proposed solutions and recently developed software to stakeholders. Monitoring industry and legislative change and reporting any relevant upcoming issues Requirements Personal Be self-motivated, able to work both alone and collaboratively as part of a creative team. Be able to combine creativity with practical application to produce attractive and workable solutions. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with colleagues Be able to explain detailed and complex business problems to colleagues (e.g. software developers) who have little or no property management or accounting experience. Be able to work under pressure, prioritize and meet agreed deadlines. Be highly numerate and enjoy solving logical problems. Be able to lead others when appropriate to achieve a common goal. Business and technical An understanding of Agile Principles / Scrum The use or implementation of Property Management or Accounting systems. An understanding of financial and property accounting principles. Knowledge of Property Management and accountancy practices – either from a theoretical (best practice) or practical (everyday) perspective. A basic understanding of SQL management studio. Competence in office software basics (MS Word, Excel and potentially other Microsoft Office products).
