JOB TITLE: Cleaning Supervisor (High-level cleaning duties)
LOCATION: Crowngate Shopping Centre
CONTRACT: Permanent- 40 hours per week – 5 out of 7 days per week - 1pm – 10pm
PAY RATE: £13.23 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of cleaning services to client facilities, ensuring a high standard is maintained throughout the building. Your responsibilities will include managing both general and high-level cleaning duties, with the use of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs). This role requires an IPAF licence due to the high-level cleaning tasks. Areas covered include reception areas, meeting rooms, and staff welfare spaces. Tasks include dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, spot cleaning glass doors and windows, and maintaining stainless steel fixtures
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervise and assist in cleaning and sanitising lifts, including internal and external stainless-steel surfaces, mirrors, and floors
· Oversee the cleaning of restrooms and shower areas, including sanitising fixtures, mirrors, cubicles, and floors
· Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
· Monitor the cleanliness, sanitation, and organisation of assigned areas
· Lead and support the cleaning team to ensure optimum service delivery to clients
· Perform additional duties as required, within reason
· Ensure staff attend and comply with monthly training sessions delivered by supervisors or line managers
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· IPAF licence is essential for high-level cleaning duties
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks effectively
· Able to work both independently and as part of a team
· Approachable and professional demeanour
· Understanding of confidentiality and discretion in a corporate environment
