Ocean Operations Team
Responsibilities
1. Plan collections in such a way to be most cost efficient.
2. Ensure all problems are reported and, where possible, rectified as quickly as possible.
3. Ensure the smooth running of all collections, shunts, and transfers.
4. Plan collections with approved 3rd parties.
5. Ensure that all customer requirements are adhered to (e.g., time-constrained jobs).
6. Keep in regular contact with 3rd party suppliers to monitor journeys and any potential issues, including providing clients information on aspects such as traffic problems.
7. Ensure all collections are inputted onto Phoenix.
8. Arrange transfers between warehouses into loading depots.
9. Co-ordinate “sweeps” to provide efficient costing on set days from areas such as Heathrow, Bradford, and Newcastle.
10. Co-ordinate with the warehouse on day-to-day issues relating to container availability and quay shunts.
11. Check inventory reports to ensure cargo is available and ready for loads.
12. Support customer service, warehouse, and operations with 3rd party loading.
Experience Required
1. Minimum 2 years LCL Transport/Warehouse experience.
Computer Knowledge
1. Good level of MS software and awareness of industry tools & technological developments.
Salary
1. Depending on Experience.
