Dive into a world of opportunity!
Are you a hardworking, proactive and self-motivated individual? If so, this could be the right position for you!
Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly-skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.
What will you be doing?
You will be one of our Water Recycling Services Works Technicians in the Southend and surrounding areas covering a number of sites local to this region. You will visit our Water Recycling Centres to carry out routine maintenance to ensure the sites operate correctly. This is a "hands on job", working outside in all weathers maintaining, monitoring and adjusting treatment processes. The work is varied, at times challenging, and it is unlikely that any two days will be the same.
Some of the duties will include:
1. Carry out scheduled activities as instructed via a scheduling App or direct from the OMC Technicians or from FLM or Optimiser (as appropriate)
2. Liaise with OMC to reschedule work plan in order to address any critical compliance issues
3. Ensure site servicing is carried out in order that processes run as effectively and efficiently as possible, and that tasks are carried out in their correct sequence such that compliance is always maintained
4. Ensure asset care activities (e.g., lubrication schedules) are carried out to required standards
5. Implementation of agreed actions on Compliance Action Plans.
