As Global Claims Practice Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Energy Transition, GCUO and Underwriting teams, playing a pivotal role on complex claims and working with the team to analyze the wider portfolio and share trends and lessons learned.
You will be part of the Claims Practice Community, sharing insights and experiences across products and geographies. The role also involves close working with key stakeholders including local Underwriting Managers for Energy Transition, the Actuarial team, and Claims Management.
You will be based preferably in the UK or Germany, however we have implemented our Smart Working initiative offering a hybrid way of working, combining both remote and office working.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
1. Globally monitoring a portfolio of the largest and most complex losses and potential exposures in Energy Transition, promoting best claim handling practices and ensuring compliance with early warning and large loss protocols.
2. Be the technical expertise point of reference for our regional teams handling Energy Transition claims, collaborating on the handling of the largest losses and monitoring the entire portfolio.
3. Large Loss Governance: Ensuring compliance with the Large Loss Framework and participating in roundtable and watchlist review meetings.
4. Act as a main stakeholder to the Energy Transition leads in other functions and a Strategic Business Partner to the Energy Transition Team and Regional Claims Teams.
5. Collaborating with Country Claims Managers and Claims Handlers on processes related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving, and resolution of claims.
6. Create and lead an Energy Transition Claims community to connect the team, encourage knowledge sharing, and facilitate training.
7. Build and maintain an external network of Experts that can work on AXA XL claims globally.
8. Assess potential high severity claims and issues across jurisdictions, determining case strategies and action plans.
9. Serve as a strategic business partner to local Underwriting Managers and provide critical post-loss analysis and feedback.
10. Be the focal point for the development of ET Claims Lessons Learned and ensure key information is shared with stakeholders.
You will report to the Global Claims Practice Leader, Property Construction & Energy.
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
1. Significant exposure in Energy Transition claims, including experience handling complex claims.
2. Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional insurance coverage law and claim regulations.
3. A good knowledge of Americas, UK & Lloyds, APAC & Europe market dynamics.
4. High dedication to customer service including professionalism and diplomacy.
5. Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with various stakeholders.
6. Providing support, encouragement, and training to colleagues.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Proactive approach to tasks and ability to prioritize multiple work streams.
9. Willingness to ask questions and explore new ideas.
10. Fluent in English and desirable another European Language such as French or German.
