We are now recruiting for a Production Planning Manager to be based at our flagship plant in Havant, UK. This role will oversee planning of the manufacturing plant production and customer delivery communications. As a key member of the plant management team, the Production Planning Manager will assure availability and continuity of the manufacturing process and key metrics OTD (Supplier and customer).
Job Responsibilities
The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for:
1. Master production schedule, scheduling of the assembly shop and the external supply base.
2. Management of the MRP process.
3. Delivery On Time to meet business requirements.
4. Working with Hydraulics Supply Chain Management group to achieve plant cost down goals, support re-sourcing strategies/projects, aligned to commodity strategies and participate/conduct supplier review activities.
5. Implementing and managing pull production techniques for purchased/manufactured parts (Kanban, consignment, VMI, Min/Max, etc.).
6. Managing ramp up/ramp down of suppliers/materials working closely with suppliers and the Hydraulics SCM group.
7. Adhering to Danfoss standard sourcing process and divisional operating procedures including managing supplier compliance with Danfoss Corporate initiatives.
8. Team development and people management to enhance and further departmental performance.
9. Participating in plant and supplier QOS process.
10. Interfacing with divisional SCM.
11. Interfacing with EMEA MM; Coordinate inventory management utilizing the SIOP process to optimize plant performance and forecasting, with EMEA MM/SIOP Manager.
The ideal candidate will display:
1. Broad industry experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
2. Experience and knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
3. A proven ability to lead and develop teams.
4. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to build relations with both suppliers and customers.
5. Tenacity and a results-oriented mindset.
6. Ability to drive overall ERP excellence in the plant.
7. Attention to detail.
