A fantastic opportunity to join a leading Primary Care Network in Milton Keynes, looking to welcome a Clinical Administrator to the team.
This is a full-time position, working alongside our Scanning & Workflow, Medical Secretary and Prescription Clerk teams.
You would be working hours per week, from 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
This is an ideal role for someone with strong organisational and administrative skills; this position also calls for empathy and excellent communication.

Main duties of the job
Your key responsibilities will include reading patient correspondence, identifying relevant clinical information and updating patient notes.
You will also be assisting the prescriptions team, and providing general secretarial support to our practice and business managers, GPs and health professionals.
You will be handling sensitive medical information, so a caring customer service communication style is essential.
Likewise you will be expected to treat all patients (& colleagues) with dignity and respect at all times and last, but by no means least, maintain the utmost levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Job responsibilities
Main Workflow Duties
6. Identify relevant clinical information contained in patient correspondence
7. Code or free text the clinical information on to the patient record
8. Deal with queries relating to coding
Main Prescription Duties
9. Coordinating and preparing repeat prescriptions for our Patients
10. Data entry onto Patient records
11. Using EPS (electronic prescription service)
12. Patient liaison
13. Community pharmacy liaison
14. Processing letters relating to medication changes requested by our secondary care (hospital) colleagues
Main Secretarial Duties
15. Provide an efficient copy typing and word processing service for GPs and health professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums, etc. in an accurate and quality manner.
16. To assist the business manager with all clerical and administrative duties.
17. To make appointments, bookings and admissions as required.
18. File patient records and correspondence in patient medical records.

19. Experience with Clinical Read Coding, or within Primary Care, is essential for this role
20. Exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, combined with top level attention to detail
21. Strong literacy and computer skills
