About the role:
We are seeking a methodical and detail-oriented Production and Procurement Planner to join our Cambridge-based team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the day-to-day demands of Fiasco workshops are met. This includes creating production schedules and placing material orders to ensure that production targets are achieved in a timely manner, as well as supporting overseas manufacturing suppliers.
Day to day, this involves receiving new product demand from sales and scheduling through design and manufacturing workshops, running stock on hand reports, sending our purchase orders to replenish materials, and maintaining communication with our many different suppliers both local and international.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
* Arrange the purchase and delivery of locally sourced material stocks (NZ and US) as directed by the Production Manager.
* Follow up suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
* Approve invoices from vendors ensuring that only materials received and of good quality are paid for.
* Maintain strong relationships and clear communication with vendors of production materials.
* Liaise with Warehouse Managers to ensure that all goods purchased are of acceptable quality and correct quantity.
* Manage the return of purchased goods as needed.
* Liaise with the Finance team to map out future purchase schedules.
* Maintain and record latest pricing data.
* Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure fair pricing and reliable service.
Production
* Ensure the day-to-day production planning requirements are achieved.
* Schedule incoming production jobs into achievable week-by-week plans.
* Monitor Min/Max Inventory levels and schedule production accordingly.
General Duties
* Monitor stock levels and generate new purchase orders as required.
* Work with the Production Manager and Logistics to plan and order roadcase containers for NZ and USA.
* Foster an interest in the materials we use and develop contingency options to cover supply chain problems.
