An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion and Wellbeing Mentor to join Swallowdale Primary School from January 2025 on a fixed term basis until August 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave. We are seeking a compassionate and proactive inclusion and wellbeing mentor to join our support staff team. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of SEMH needs and how to support children in school; and someone who can see beyond the children’s barriers to ensure they experience success during their time at school. We are looking for someone who is Team Teach trained or who has the willingness to be trained if required. Ideally we are looking for someone who is ELSA trained, although this is not essential. The post holder will be responsible for further shaping the provision for pastoral and wellbeing support at Swallowdale. The Inclusion and Wellbeing Mentor will work across the school being a champion for the most vulnerable children and being proactive in supporting children’s needs; supporting with more challenging behaviours when required. The post holder will be required to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, external agencies and families as this will be an integral part of the role.
