Find your Future
Forth Valley Vets are on the lookout for an experienced Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive team on a permanent basis. Covering the Central belt and beyond, we pride ourselves in offering specialist ambulatory care to our farm, smallholder, and equine clients.
Our farm workload is approximately 30% dairy and 70% beef and sheep. Our beef work is a good mixture of pedigree and commercial herds, allowing us to see the full spectrum of the industry. We are a progressive practice focusing on fertility planning and preventative medicine, along with the usual day-to-day emergencies.
Our equine workload is mostly routine care for leisure horses and ponies with the ability to offer lameness investigations, endoscopy, gastroscopy, and the usual day-to-day emergencies.
Day to Day
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week over 4 days; however, part-time may be considered for the right person. There will be a requirement to work the out-of-hours rota. A valid UK driving license is required.
We pride ourselves on our ability to offer our clients dedicated Vets to large animal medicine who all have a high level of expertise.
About Us
We are a 10 Vet practice including our Clinical Director, supported by a Practice Manager and Receptionists. We have several certificate holders in their individual fields and would welcome applicants who can bring this extra qualification or equally would support new employees to further develop their careers.
Located in the historic town of Stirling, there are motorway links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Perth within easy reach and beautiful Loch Lomond and the Trossachs on our doorstep. We are a friendly, sociable practice; during the summer months we like to support our local agricultural shows and enjoy social events as a team.
