A temporary opportunity has become available for a Telecoms Project Delivery Manager within the National Grid Telecoms team reporting to the Operations Sites Manager with a base to be agreed within NGEDs geographical operational area. You will be responsible for undertaking project management and the coordination for the delivery of Physical Security Projects across Telecoms Sites. This temporary opportunity will be until 31 st December 2027 (subject to review). As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need. Main Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role are varied and will include the following: Responsible for Telecoms physical security projects, undertaking project management tasks, working with different teams within Telecoms and across the wider NGED business. Liaising with team managers and contractors to distribute tasks. Project planning, setting goals, project milestones and completion plans. Maintaining schedules and budgets for each projects. Assessing and taking proper action to resolve project dependencies, risks and issues. Leading meeting between teams and other stakeholders. Ensuring projects are delivered smoothly on time and on budget. Responsible for maintaining project management documentation in line with project risk, issue and progress, throughout the complete Project Management Lifecycle. Liaising with National Grid Telecoms teams to ensure the timeliness of project progress management and reporting. The Ideal Candidate You will be required to carry out project management across all areas of the National Grid Telecoms business, working with the different National Grid Telecoms teams, teams across the wider NGED business, contractors and suppliers. You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, with other team members, contractors and suppliers, and must be able to represent the company positively at all times. You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team and you must be able to work using your own initiative. Candidates ideally educated to NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent and / or appropriate practical experience in project management. Comprehensive understanding of National Grid Telecoms and the services it provides would be desirable. As the post you are applying for attracts a National Security Vetting clearance there are further eligibility requirements. To meet national security vetting requirements you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years for Security Clearance (SC) prior to the date of application.
