Then you will be interested in joining our Looked After Children administration team.
The position offers the opportunity for the successful applicants to work alongside social workers and professionals supporting our highly respected looked after children's service. You will need to be organised, and able to work in a busy, vibrant and interesting team, where you will support social workers in meeting their regulatory requirements.
This role is varied with a focus on administration and supporting excellent customer care service. Routine tasks include:
1. Daily use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
2. Undertake administrative duties in accordance with statutory and departmental requirements including monitoring email inboxes, providing telephone cover and message service, setting and maintaining office systems, arranging meetings and maintaining diaries.
3. Minute, produce and distribute accurate records of meetings e.g. team, departmental, inter-agency meetings.
4. Accurately input data into computerised departmental systems, databases and spreadsheets and process, retrieve, analyse and cleanse data as necessary.
5. Liaise with operational and departmental staff, foster carers, applicants and other agencies as appropriate, sharing information as directed and ensuring Council procedures are properly followed.
6. Drafting and writing emails or letters on behalf of others.
7. Provide admin support to individual managers as required
8. Arranging and supporting events and meetings. This will include sending out invites, booking rooms/MS Teams call set up, collating and distributing agendas and minutes.
9. Redacting third party and confidential information to be distributed to external care providers and fostering agencies.
10. Providing regular admin support to staff within the team, including uploading documents and inputting compliance data.
