Role: Electrical Engineering Manager
Location: Nottingham office – Ilkeston
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hrs per week, Flexible hours

Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for hardware design and control systems? We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our talented team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality control system and safety projects on time, on budget, and to standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Coordination: Manage and develop a team of engineers and workshop staff, aligning with company objectives and project goals.
* Quality Delivery: Oversee hardware design and build processes for control systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
* Process & Standardization: Develop and enforce internal standards and procedures for consistency and compliance across projects.
* Team Development: Provide management, training, development plans, and appraisals to meet stakeholder requirements.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between your team and the wider business, ensuring resource allocation and problem resolution.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to enhance quality systems and hardware-related processes, promoting a “right first time” approach.
* Stakeholder Interaction: Contribute to project scoping, costing, tendering, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years in systems integration, with significant hardware design and team leadership experience. Relevant HNC/HND/Degree preferred.
* Technical Expertise: Ability to understand and produce control system design documents, with knowledge of applicable standards.
* Leadership Skills: Proven success in leading teams and fostering a positive work culture.
* Problem Solving: Excellent time management and prioritization abilities to ensure project delivery.
* Passion for Quality: Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality hardware solutions.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement at all levels.
