The Opportunity:
Due to growth, expansion and significant project wins, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a high calibre, confident, self-starting sales professional to join the business based from home but operational in London & South East.
The Role:
1. To proactively promote the design, manufacture and distribution of Specialist Ventilation products.
2. Sales route will be via End Users and/or specification-based consultant sales and contractor/end users/FM companies order placement within the Construction, Building Services, HVAC or Heating and Ventilation Industry.
3. Three days a week on the road, two days in our Client's office covering for the Commercial Director (responsible for bidding for projects, decisions on pricing etc., overseeing a team of 10 staff).
4. 50% of your time winning projects and managing relationships with tier one main contractors (e.g. Mace Group, Willmott Dixon etc.).
5. 40% of your time winning specification with M&E consultants, typically presenting one CPD per week (virtually or face to face).
6. Remainder of time split evenly between M&E contractors and HVAC distributors.
7. 70% new business development, 30% account management role.
8. Following specifications through to order.
9. Order values from £80,000-£300,000, with an average of circa £100,000.
10. Typical projects with healthcare and commercial.
11. Weekly virtual meeting with the rest of the field sales team.
THE CANDIDATE:
1. Should be experienced within the Ventilation/HVAC sector and highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
2. Must have sold into tier one main contractors or have Ventilation/HVAC specification field sales experience with M&E consultants.
3. Experience of selling into M&E contractors and HVAC/plumbing and heating merchants is not essential.
4. Specific knowledge of our Client's products is not required, as full product training will be provided.
5. Capable of both generating new business and managing/expanding existing accounts.
6. Ability to work on own initiative and works well with others.
7. Self-motivated, good communicator, IT literate and driven.
8. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential along with the ability to provide customer presentations.
9. Verbal and written communication ability should be of the highest standard.
10. Computer literate including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint (for presentations) and email.
11. Managerial capabilities highly advantageous.
12. The ability to formulate and implement targeted strategies.
