We are seeking to appoint an experienced Administratorto join our friendly, busy and supportive Research, Education & Practice Administration team at the British Psychological Society.
The Directorate is split into the following areas

* Research & Analysis

* Archives
* Academic Publications
* Accreditation Operations
* Qualifications
* Assessments & Awards
* Workforce Development and Administration
We also provide several Awards & Grants schemes to undergraduates and psychologists from across the UK.
You will be responsible for:
* Providing administrative support to the Director and the Research, Education & Practice Directorate to a high standard.
* Co-ordinating the Director's initiatives, providing data and reports, minuting meetings and following up on action plans.
* Undertaking activities essential to facilitate the operations of assigned Boards, Committees, sub-committees, Task & Finish groups, and Working Parties.
* Preparing and circulating meeting papers in advance of meetings ensuring actions have been updated on matters arising.
* Producing agendas and taking minutes of meetings as directed. Ensuring follow up actions are allocated, implemented, and monitored to make sure they are completed.
* Handling enquiries from members and the public in relation to the business of Boards and Committees.
* Monitoring shared email inboxes, responding to enquiries and updating enquiries tracker.
* Maintaining relevant sections of the Society's website and public information, keeping information up to date.
* Ensuring that Award and Grants schemes are supported and run to the annual agreed schedule, keeping information up to date, preparing payments, setting up new schemes and keeping all stakeholders updated.
* Providing administrative support to project work arising from Boards, Committees and Working Parties.
Key requirements:
* Educated to A-level standard, with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* Experience of organisation and coordination of diary and email management.
* Experience of taking accurate detailed meeting notes and following up on action points.
* Experience in Committee servicing including preparing agendas, minutes and papers.
* Experience of organising meetings and events.
* Experience in managing and maintaining budgets as well as carrying out invoicing.
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other office productivity tools.
* Excellent customer service skills to maintain professional working relationships.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines, prioritising work as required.
* Thorough attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
