Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) has an exciting opportunity available for a Trust Director to join our team based in Gaydon. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £78,000 pro rata per annum. Working hours: This is a 4 day part-time permanent position which is mainly office-based but may also require some working from home. Support for external events is expected which may take place at the weekends. Benefits We Offer: Competitive salary Out of pocket expenses reimbursed Subsidised meals and refreshments through Trust facilities Concessionary entrance rates The Trust Director Role As a Trust Director, you will play a key role in driving forward our quest to become a centre of excellence in all that we do, he newly launched trading company, emerging digital & accessibility strategy and will take lead responsibility as the foremost representative of the business. The successful candidate will act as the commercial interface with external bodies, as well as contributing to the leadership of the Trust more broadly and will assist the Board in their effective operation and governance of the Trust. Main Responsibilities as our Trust Director: Formulating an annual plan, in conjunction with the Operations Committee, Financial Controller, Head Archivist and Collection Manager, to ensure the covenant process provides the funding continuum that supports the objectives of the Trust Working with the Collection Manager to ensure that the full vehicle collection is maintained to enable it to meet the standards laid down by the Trust Working with the Head Archivist to ensure that the archive is properly represented both externally and internally within JLR Ensuring that the annual budgeting and planning processes are carried out and agreed by the Board within agreed timeframes Being responsible for all employees and volunteers including the provision of training and development of both workshop and archive cohorts Providing a clear focus for the Trust’s educational function by engaging with academic institutions and educational providers Being responsible for the development and execution of the Trust’s strategy Maintaining an effective working relationship with the BMIHT and British Motor Museum Skills and Experience Required as our Trust Director In order to be successful in this role, you must have: Operational management experience A proven record on Programme and Financial Management The ability to communicate at all levels, including some public speaking Self-motivation Ability to lead and direct with minimal supervision Experience in departmental budget preparation and control The ability to represent the interests of the Trust in discussions with external bodies Please note that the closing date for applications will be end of day Monday 6th January 2025.
