Property Business Partner Job Type: Temporary, 6-month contract Location: Yorkshire Local Authority Pay Rate: £450 - £500 per day Reed are supporting a Yorkshire Council in their recruitment to a Property Business Partner. In this role, you will facilitate the successful delivery of built environment priorities across various service directorates including Regeneration, Arts, Culture & Leisure, and Schools. This role is pivotal in leading and managing property and estate-related capital projects and programmes, ensuring strategic alignment with the council’s objectives. Day-to-day of the role: Lead the delivery of property and estate-related capital projects and programmes within a defined portfolio. Develop and manage work programmes to meet the specific needs of client directorates. Build and sustain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the council, ensuring their property and project requirements are integrated into the Strategic Asset Management Plan. Act as the key interface between stakeholder clients and the property services team, aligning customer needs with technical expertise. Assist the Senior Property Business Partner in managing the 3rd party property professional services contract to safeguard the council’s commercial interests. Required Skills & Qualifications: Ideally, a Degree in Building, Engineering, or Construction-related subject. MRICS or CIOB qualification with post-qualification experience as a Building Surveyor, Project Manager, or Quantity Surveyor. Extensive knowledge of building construction techniques, regulations, CDM, and safety legislation. Proficient in construction contracts, public sector capital funding, and frameworks. Proven experience in delivering construction projects across various sectors such as regeneration, leisure, and education. Skilled in contract specification preparation and contract management. Experience managing high-value, commercially complex projects or contracts.
