As a Paint Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning and applying masking materials. Your duties include:
1. Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grease, and old paint
2. Sand surfaces to smooth out imperfections
3. Apply masking tape and protective covers to areas not being painted
4. Demasking all vehicles once the paint work has been completed
5. Detailed filler work with capability to follow correct procedures
6. Assist with paint application when necessary
To be successful in this Paint Prepper role, you will have a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role, combined with the following skills, traits, and experience:
1. Good eye for detail
2. Good level of written and verbal English
3. Proficient in using hand tools for sanding and cleaning
4. The ability to lift heavy objects - when required
5. Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
6. Familiarity with power tools for surface preparation
