Purpose of the role
This role is within the UK/IRE marketing team for JJV, a small but lively team. You will be one of a number of marketers working on the ACUVUE brand (contact lenses). You'll be responsible managing the overall ACUVUE product portfolio, and report into the Head of Marketing with direct line responsibility for a Portfolio Brand Manager.
What to expect:
* Full accountability for Portfolio strategy, support and performance, including both strategic and executional aspects:
* Full accountability to deliver in year NTS/ share targets
* Ownership of the creation, shaping and execution of the strategic portfolio business plans (both in year and longer term)
* Driving the growth of the ACUVUE portfolio across the UK and Ireland
* Analysing health of business (sales, share, wearers. Analysis, insights and implications)
* Ensuring a competitive and customer focus including identifying the right source of volume to drive sustainable growth
* Managing the portfolio of brands in different product lifecycle stages with significant commercial focus, opportunities to turn around/reshape a brand, manage discontinuation, plan NPD introductions
* Lead development of all product specific comms & content for professionals and customers including through sales force sales cycles ("POAs"). Act as a consultant on product-specific comms to consumers
* Lead portfolio pricing strategy (cost pricing and recommended retail pricing)
* Opportunity to serve as one of the leading global markets in the development of new and ongoing initiatives.
* You will have experience developing and activating content & communication plans and a deep understanding of customer and retailer requirements for both consumers and professionals
* Experience of developing a team coupled with strong analytical and influencing skills, and known to work as self-directed decision-maker
* Line Management responsibility for at least one direct report (Brand Manager level or above). Coach and support direct report in the competencies outlined for their job level.
Who will you be working with:
The marketing team work closely with Professional Affairs, Key Accounts, and the Salesforce management team in the UK/IRE business. A strong customer (retailer) focus is an essential part of how we do business and you'll also be part of a cross functional team specific to a leading UK customer to drive excellence in customer activation.
The role also involves working closely with the EMA marketing team on a UK lead market basis.
