We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our vibrant team at a three-form entry school located in Hounslow. As a SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child, regardless of their individual needs, receives the support and guidance necessary to thrive academically and socially. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized strategies and interventions that promote inclusive learning environments and foster positive outcomes for all students. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the provision of Special Educational Needs (SEN) support across the school. Collaborating with teaching staff to identify and assess the needs of students with SEN. Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student. Providing guidance and training to teachers on best practices for supporting students with SEN in the classroom. Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SEN provision, making adjustments as necessary to meet the evolving needs of students. Keeping up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in SEN provision. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience. National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification or willingness to work towards it. Demonstrated experience in SEN coordination or a related role within a school setting. Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
