What’s the role? Gen II is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its Global Legal Team. The position will report to the Chief Legal Officer of the Group and will mainly focus on procurement activities across all entities of the Group. What you’ll be doing Review and negotiation of vendor agreements (on third party paper) and drafting of contract addenda to address regulatory prescriptions Maintain a playbook of key vendor contract clauses Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal topics (corporate, regulatory, employment etc.) Prepare intragroup outsourcing agreements The ideal background for this role: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with exposure to procurement / vendor contracts (experience with the financial sector is a plus) A university degree in Law or educational qualification in Law Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts Good understanding and knowledge of European regulation applicable to outsourcing arrangements General knowledge and experience in privacy, data processing and international data transfers Experience in corporate laws and regulatory matters is a plus Ability to work autonomously as part of a Global team and take ownership of assigned tasks Excellent communication skills, transparent and proactive reporting Role Location/Hybrid Schedule This role is based in our Southampton office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classified as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
