Whether you are just starting your career or in need of a challenge, we recognize, develop, and empower talent Position: Sr. eCommerce Manager Department: Marketing for Curlsmith Work Location: London, UK, 100% Remote (Contract) What you will be doing: Site upgrade (Project) for Curlsmith: We’re embarking on a 6mth project to substantially improve site performance (engagement, conversion rate, core web vitals) and need a technically and commercially astute ecommerce manager to help deliver these changes. Working with both internal and external resources, you will need to be proactive, organized and comfortable working in a remote, matrixed organization. Re-platforming project experience and Shopify knowledge is critical. Manage and deliver to detailed timelines ensuring all key ecommerce components are catered for: Document agreed functional capabilities and hold dev agency to account. Work with agency / internal team to iterate on site design in line with brand evolution. Product taxonomy design, catalogue set up / migration. Report design & set up / migration. Back-end integration (low touch – it’s a site upgrade rather than replatform). CMS set up, rules and training including Klevu dynamic merchandising. SEO migration (strategy sign off, agency/resource management). Ensure digital marketing and analytics continuity: Working with US internal resources ensure site tagging for paid media and analytics are ported across Working with SEO resource, develop a ‘first 6mths’ plan covering site migration and identified ranking opportunities. Ensure content plans and site taxonomy are aligned. Working with demand planning resource – ensure continuity of trade reporting. Ensure continuity / improvement of consumer experience touchpoints: Guided selling (Octane quiz) and 1st party data collection, consumer insights development Gorgias (reactive & proactive live chat), AI responses and FAQs Recharge subscriptions Paid media landing pages Develop go-to-market launch plans for the upgraded site in line with brand plan, with specific responsibility to US/CA, while working in close communication with EMEA team. Commercial Planning & Execution: Working with marketing, finance and demand planning teams, set quarterly forecasts and key trading KPIs: Working with brand stakeholders, set long / mid-term site promotion and merchandising strategy. Monthly revenue, profitability & KPI forecasting: Top-down sales forecasting (working with marketing leads) based on CAC & LTV. Bottom-up unit forecasting, in partnership with inventory planning and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory & order forecasts. Monthly KPI reporting: delivering meaningful trading insights that drive the delivery of commercial goals. Accountability for delivering against marketing and promotional plans (working with 1 direct report). Site Management (BAU): Manage site performance and consumer experience. Contribute to the overall marketing technology and site roadmap, keeping up with trends such as mobile, subscriptions, evolving digital UX design. Assist in the identification, selection, and implementation of new functionality or 3rd party tool integration. Own the end-to-end performance and analytics reporting for Curlsmith.com: Working closely with internal and external technology partners (including project managers), act as the key point of contact for escalations and work with support teams to resolve issues in a timely manner. Provide input into the digital product roadmap, site changes & enhancements working with Jira-based backlog & sprint processes. Partner with other members of the Digital Experience team and IT to ensure site roadmap and performance KPIs are met and exceeded. Partner with Digital Marketing (internal & external resources) to ensure tracking and analytics accuracy. Partner with EMEA teams to coordinate shared technology & capabilities roadmap. You’ll be the key-point of contact for the ongoing evolution of the ecommerce experience, working with the developers to continually improve site engagement, conversion rate and core web vitals. QA delivered changes and feedback to developers ensuring consistent high standards and efficient delivery of changes to the site. Operations - Close collaboration with the Ops and Warehouse teams providing unit/order forecasting for capacity planning: Managing and resolving technical issues; ensuring consistent, efficient fulfilment operations. Monitoring consumer feedback (NPS) and fulfilment reporting to ensure best-in-class consumer experience. Team - Working in close partnership with other roles and team members across Helen of Troy’s Beauty & Wellness portfolio of brands. Provide expertise to influence overarching DTC strategies that will align with shared brand goals: Ensure DTC Ecommerce priorities, goals and values are supported within your team. Exhibit and foster best practices regarding effective time use/meeting, communication, and cross-functional teamwork. Celebrate and recognize team members on a regular basis. Skills needed to be successful in this role: Ability to build revenue forecasts and craft a digital strategy that works towards targets. Detailed understanding of end-to-end ecommerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, sales forecasting, operations, and customer facing functionality. Ecommerce platform expertise – ideally including Shopify. Demonstrated experience and passion for driving eCommerce revenue with prior relevant roles. Interest in analytical and data-driven thinking; ability to assess, interpret and act on results. Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects at once. Self-motivated with a track record showing a “can-do” demeanor and a passion for your work. Flexible and responsive to change. Presentation, oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, work well with others and handle a fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 7 years in website operations, merchandising, and optimization experience Experience being an influential manager of indirect or cross-functional teams/individuals. Management of eCommerce team Proven experience working with website technical structures, design/aesthetics, content, navigation, product taxonomy and continuous improvement of functional capabilities Experience working with marketing platforms, including web analytics, tag management, A/B testing, etc. Experience directly or indirectly managing, mentoring, and influencing team members with a track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships across functional divisions within an organization to enable success.
