My Client is recruiting for a Associate Director Mechanical Engineering in the Water Sector \n\nWe specialise in all aspects of mechanical engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. We continue to provide industry-leading mechanical engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. \nWe're big on expertise but not on hierarchy. So, we'll trust you with more responsibility faster, supporting your career to the next level. \nYour Purpose:\n\nOwn and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
\nDefining briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. \nSuccessfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. \nWork closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
\nSetting quality assurance standards in design. \nGrow, develop and manage mechanical engineering capability within the practice. \nExperience/Qualifications:\n\nChartered or Fellow Mechanical Engineer.
\nRelevant Engineering degree or equivalent\nSignificant experience in Mechanical Engineering within the Water Sector\nExperience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. \nComprehensive knowledge in mechanical equipment, such as pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing plant as well as an deep understanding of current UK design standards and working practices
