Production Medalmaker
This is a position that become available because of retirement of the current medalmaker. Full training will be given. Experience in working with metals and machinery would be advantageous. We are looking for a cheerful person who can fit easily into our small happy hardworking team.
* Responsible for the efficient and timely completion of all tasks shown below:
Responsible for the making of medals from cutting out material, through annealling, press set-up, striking and rim skimming and inspection.
* Required to do any workshop tasks that need doing, such as pressing, turning, grinding, sawing, fabrication, filing, soldering, polishing and bead blasting.
* Required to help quality check
* Required to help fit medals and other items into display frames where necessary.
Responsible for ensuring all the maintenance of all the workshop machines and equipment is done
* Responsible for ensuring the workshop is clean, organized and fit for purpose.
* Responsible for the setting -up of machines and tools and for the training and overseeing of anyone in the workshop.
* Required to ensure individual machine safety sheets are filled in.
* Responsible for checking the emergency lighting.
* Required to fault find and repair current machinery and to help install new equipment
* Responsible for being a Keyholder for the workshop including opening-up and closing-down routines daily.
