Are you ready to make your mark in the medical industry? We are delighted that due to our continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Medical Project Manager role within our Medical Operations team.
The successful candidate will manage multiple projects from initial enquiry to commissioning/handover, delivering a quality product on time and within the agreed margin.
Your day to day
1. Manage projects from planning to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
2. Supervise site teams and subcontractors to maximise efficiency and control costs.
3. Schedule, monitor, and adjust project plans to meet deadlines and resolve on-site issues.
4. Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Technical, Business Development) and clients to mitigate risks and ensure smooth delivery.
5. Conduct site visits to assess access, identify potential problems, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
6. Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and oversee safety inspections and incident reporting.
7. Maintain clear project documentation and communicate progress with stakeholders.
8. Lead and support staff, address performance issues, and promote continuous improvement.
9. Ensure site drawings and test plans are suitable and up to date.
10. Contribute to process development and project efficiency improvements.
11. Monitor change in scope, coordinating with the Commercial Manager for approvals.
12. Participate in sales and operational planning, workforce forecasting, and resource allocation.
13. Support and mentor wider project teams, ensuring adequate training and development.
14. May require occasional weekend or out-of-hours work.
15. Maintain site organisation and cleanliness to uphold a safety-conscious environment.
Who you are
Recommended or desired qualifications you would need to fulfil this role:
1. Ideally have a minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Hold either Construction, QS, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications.
3. Holder of SMSTS certificate.
4. Knowledge of the Company products.
5. Knowledge of industry technological developments.
6. IOSH Managing Safely (Construction) Certificate and/or CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme.
7. Professional Membership within a building / construction related Professional Body.
This is the desired experience you will have
1. Experience of site supervision and general project management.
2. How to manage multiple Projects within a finite resource.
3. How to performance manage staff including development reviews to ensure team effectiveness is maximised.
4. Have strong experience of delivering highly complex HVAC installations, and worked in senior level as part of a wider team.
