Role: Regulatory Affairs Officer - Chemical
Location: Wolverhampton - onsite

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience within Regulatory Affairs in the chemical industry to join a global chemical manufacturing company.
Responsibilities
1. Support the regulatory compliance team to ensure that the company complies with national and international regulatory requirements.
2. Calculating product carbon footprints (PCF).
3. Implement sustainability standards.
4. Develop actionable regulatory strategies.
5. Work closely with the sales teams to address regulatory requests from the customer.
6. Develop and drive regulatory processes and procedures.
7. Collaborate with the procurement team to develop scope 3 processes for the PCF.
8. Support site engineers and plant managers in energy mapping.
9. Acquire knowledge in projects in advance regulatory and sustainability initiatives.
10. Stay up to date with industry trends.
11. Travel with the role when required to various sites (only occasionally).
The Person
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Scientific field, preferably Chemistry.
2. Previous industrial experience in Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, ideally within the chemical industry.
3. Experience of Product Carbon Footprint calculations, leveraging the Together for Sustainability standard.
4. Previous experience of working on scope 3 data collection and integrating the data into the Product Carbon Footprint Calculation.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Strong problem-solving skills.
7. Be happy to occasionally work during weekends or off-hours during peak periods.
8. Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
