Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be extending their relationship with a key client in Doncaster, as they look to recruit a Finance Analyst into their team.
After appointing a new Finance Director this year, there has been a restructure across the finance team, opening up this brand-new position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
2. Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
3. Providing support of the management accounts at month end.
4. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
5. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
6. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for efficiencies.
7. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
8. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
9. Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
Qualifications:
1. Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst or Management Accountant.
2. Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
3. Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
4. Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
5. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
6. Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
