Job Description
Private Patients Co Ordinator
Rivers Hospital Sawbridgeworth
To assist the Private Patient Manager to grow self-pay and Private Medically Insured admissions to defined targets. To effectively manage consultant relationships to ensure the private patient experience is consistently delivered. This interaction will be across all channels; in person, on the telephone and in writing. To be measured through patient satisfaction, compliments and/or complaints whilst undertaking analysis of private activity in order to maximise revenue generation.
Essential
1. Marketing and or Sales experience
2. Ability to manage a portfolio of private patients from initial call to discharge
3. Sound Computer skills using the MS Office Suite and Web based reporting
4. Confident in engaging with a variety of people particularly in a high end setting
5. Excellent communication skills both face to face, over the phone and in writing
6. Articulate with the highest standard of personal presentation

Key Performance Criteria
1. Take responsibility for the private patient pathway
2. Act as the primary contact for Private Patients and key stakeholders
3. Facilitate special requests/requirements of private patients
4. Monitor lost activity and conversion rates
5. Monitor continued care planning for Private Patients
6. Provide the information that patients need in order to make an informed decision
7. Attain appointments in line with hospital targets and promotional campaigns
8. Build and maintain excellent relationships with consultants and medical secretaries in order to ensure appointments are converted
9. Ensure all records and reports are maintained and kept up to date
10. Ensure relevant information is forwarded to all interested parties involved in the patient pathway
11. Develop annual programme of consumer events; educational and sales focused with suitable measurement/return on investment as agreed with local GM
12. To assist the central marketing team with the planning and delivery of national campaigns
13. Ensure the NEC and central marketing teams are provided with service, consultant and pricing updates to ensure optimum service delivery
14. Audit Premium Care Service against agreed criteria
