Job objectives and responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Financial and Procurement Supervisor to provide effective and efficient financial and procurement management for our prison. The ideal candidate will develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery. They will lead on supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
The role involves supporting financial planning, budgeting, and expenditure control, collaborating with internal teams to align procurement and finance activities with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies and prepare and present financial reports to senior management. Additionally, they will provide cover for the Prisoner Finance and Procurement Administrator when required.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in procurement and financial management, with a strong understanding of procurement regulations, contract management, and supply chain processes. They should possess excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Intermediate or better IT skills are required, including proficiency and confidence in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as Coupa and SAP.
