Overview
This post is responsible for providing assurance and support relating to Trust governance policies, procedures and related matters and support for Trustees and Academy Governors including clerking responsibilities for a range of Governor and other meetings. High level administrative experience including minute taking of Executive level groups (or similar) is essential.
* Responsibility for arranging, supporting and clerking Governor Panels.
* Develops, convenes, advises and clerks other Trust Governor Panels as required.
* Responds to issues relating to the Trust Complaints Procedure, governance compliance and related queries and issues across the Trust. Escalating to the Senior Governance Lead to any concerns or difficult issues.
* Ensures AGBs and individual Governors understand and deliver their Terms of Reference.
* Supports the Strategic Planning process, co-ordinating reports and planning and minuting Executive progress meetings as required. Updating and managing Plan documentation as necessary.
* Supports the Deputy Chief Executive in:
· Managing, reviewing and updating the Trust Strategic Risk Register.
· Managing, progress chasing and delivery on time of the Annual Programme of Internal Audit and meetings related thereto.
Person Specification
* Supporting Executive level Groups and Committees and related administration including high level minuting and taking follow-up action in relation to these.
* Working with senior colleagues in managing Executive Group and Committee related business.
* Ability and/or experience of assurance and verification techniques relating to compliance with established procedures and requirements.
* Ability and/or experience of writing and tailoring reports, policy documents and related documentation.
* Experience of effectively organising meetings.
* High level administrative and organisational skills.
