About the Role: Warwickshire County Council is inviting applications for a Commissioner within the Prevention & Inequalities Commissioning Team in Public Health. This role is primarily responsible for commissioning and overseeing the provision of sexual and reproductive health services, including STI testing and treatment, contraception, and sexual assault services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving population and patient outcomes in relation to sexual and reproductive health and HIV. Key Responsibilities: Commission and oversee sexual health services. Improve population and patient outcomes in relation to sexual and reproductive health and HIV. Manage complex projects and negotiate effectively with service providers. Ensure cost and quality are well-managed. Ensure services meet the demand and needs of the Warwickshire population. Engage and consult with Warwickshire residents, promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners. Qualifications and Experience: We are looking for someone with experience in public sector commissioning and an understanding of Public Health services, policies, and legislation. You will have a commitment to engagement and consultation with residents and tackling health inequalities. This post requires the ability to manage complex projects and a high degree of resilience and excellent project management skills. You will have strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and partners and the ability to manage and maintain effective relationships with providers and partner agencies at local, regional, and national levels.
