Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Key Responsibilities
1. Safeguarding children
2. Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups supporting the individual in and out of the classroom
3. Assist in developing and implementing individualised interventions and strategies.
4. Monitor pupils behaviour, promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to adapt lesson content and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
6. Support individual during unstructured times such as lunch and break times.
7. Encourage social interaction with other pupils
8. Build positive relationships with the individual and other pupils whilst acting as a role model and building trust.
Requirements
1. Minimum of GCSE’s in English and Mathematics
2. Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
3. Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS checks.
4. Driving Licence (not essential but preferred)
What We Are Looking For
1. Previous experience working with ASC needs or other ALN needs, preferably in an education or care setting
2. A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with the individual
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
4. Positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a proactive approach to problem solving
5. Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and seek support when required
