My client, a highly reputable business located on the outskirts of Chelmsford, is excited to invite a motivated and detail-oriented Part Time Accounts Administrator to join their fantastic team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to a thriving business!
As the Part Time Accounts Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts department. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting with sales ledger administration
2. Generating accurate sales invoices and payment applications while understanding payment terms
3. Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure timely interim invoices are raised and paid
4. Processing sales commissions and payments received
5. Answering enquiries and directing emails to the relevant department or person
6. Composing professional emails, letters, and phone calls
7. Ensuring all outgoing correspondence is well presented and error-free
8. Issuing customer account statements
9. Performing credit control duties
10. Collecting weekly sales data for analysis
11. Updating the customer database
12. Accurately inputting sales invoices, payments received, and supplier invoices
13. Inputting new customer and supplier details on SAGE, ensuring details are updated correctly
14. Inputting the installation schedule and project information on SAGE
15. Providing excellent customer service at all times
16. Maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing customers and suppliers
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
2. A track record of thriving as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
3. An understanding of confidentiality and a trustworthy, discreet approach to sensitive data
4. A professional telephone manner paired with exceptional communication skills
5. Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in your work
6. The ability to work independently, multi-task, and effectively prioritise a busy workload, even under tight deadlines
7. A willingness to learn and improve continuously
8. Strong mathematical skills
9. Own transport for commuting
10. Experience using Sage (desirable)
