Job Description
Our Spalding site have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Planner to join our friendly team on a full-time permanent basis.
As the Retail Planner you will be responsible for organising the transport planning process by way of translating incoming orders via e-mail, fax or EDI for processing into ESP. Building into workable loads, giving consideration to specific customer requirements for delivery times and ensuring that temperature compliance is achievable.
Salary: £23,796 - £30,800 per annum.
Shift: Any 5 in 7 days, starting between 7am and 10am and finishing between 4pm and 7pm.
Key Duties of a Retail Planner:
Process all orders sent by email, fax or EDI then sending down to order input.
Complete load profiles for all customers with more than 26 pallets, whilst liaising with traffic to offer maximum efficiency of collecting vehicles.
Complete customer checklists to ensure no orders are missed on a daily basis.
Build all Tesco and non-Tesco loads, chill and ambient. (All loads are to be planned with customer service and loadfill being the main priorities).
Record and report all incidents to customers as soon as they happen.
Book in all Tesco loads via the Tesco OTM system.
Maintain the upkeep of the working area using available resource.
Maintain department files – electronic and paper.
Help maintain the live tracking of all deliveries, focusing on positive confirmation of all drops.
Complete ASN’s for your designated Tesco depot, sending backup emails direct to Tesco for all non available suppliers.
Maintain regular contact with customers and retailers and ensure planning information is current.
Qualifications
Experience in transport planning for FMCG.
Proven customer service experience.
Attention to detail / accuracy.
Strong administration skills.
Sound geographical knowledge.
Basic understanding of drivers’ hours regulations.
Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
