Sofas & Stuff is one of the leading premium furniture and fabric brands in the UK. We are a retailer who manufactures with our Head Office based in the beautiful West Sussex countryside and our factory located in Preston, Lancashire. We currently have a network of 23 showrooms across England and Scotland with plans to add further showrooms in the near future. We are a passionate bunch, and what we don't know about sofas isn't worth knowing.
Building on our success, we are opening a new showroom in Bruton, Somerset and are looking for new people to join our team. Following our most recent showroom opening on the Kings Road in London, we are excited to take another step in our journey in the beautiful town of Bruton.
We are now delighted to offer a part-time position for a highly motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Design Consultant, working 3 days a week. As a Design Consultant, you would advise customers on choosing their ideal sofa or fabric which involves patience, creativity, and a great personality. You would have a flair for putting colour schemes together in the Showroom and have a natural instinct to treat customers to the highest level of Customer Service.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1. An outgoing personality who enjoys talking to people, ideally you will come from a strong retail background.
2. You must have great communication skills, be well presented, have a positive attitude and, above all, be a people person.
3. Although previous experience in sofa sales would be a plus it is not essential as full training will be given.
4. Sound administration skills and computer literacy are essential.
5. Previous experience within an interior design environment would be strongly beneficial.
6. Experience in sales and an ability to work under pressure in a busy environment are essential.
7. You will have a genuine interest and passion for interior design with some experience and knowledge in the industry.
8. Ideally you will have experience using interior design software such as Canva in order to create high quality mood boards and visuals for customers.
9. As we are open every day the flexibility to be able to work weekends is essential.
10. To ensure there is a sales presence at all times, this will involve some weekend work as required. Working any 3 out of 7 days.
You will be offered a base salary along with a rewarding commission structure.
