Interview date: 20th January 2025 Job description We are currently seeking a Technical Demonstrator (Educational Technology) who will be responsible for the delivery of specialist technical skills demonstrations to groups of students and staff, and one-to-one support for individuals. About the role As out Technical Demonstrator (Educational Technology) you will be responsible for the delivery of specialist technical demonstrations, this may be in a single or series of workshops and will have specific learning outcomes developed by the academic tutor You will lead in the training of staff and students in the use of AV and Educational Technology and prepare resources and training guides. You will help to develop and run demonstration workshops and to be responsible for equipment, maintenance and repair of all resources within their own workspace, excluding those related to course administration. You will also keep up to date with contemporary practice in the area of expertise and advise colleagues and students accordingly. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of specialist equipment is carried out within own area of work and that health and safety standards are complied with. About you You will have extensive AV experience including interactive whiteboards and knowledge of other relevant Educational Technologies including Video Conferencing and Lecture Capture. You will have demonstration experience and have a pro-active approach to problem solving and excellent communication skills, along with being able to work under pressure and will be highly competent in maintaining and managing resources. Additional information You will be required to work some weekend and evenings as requested by the Line Manager. This role will require travel to all BSU campuses, including London. £33,232 to £36,924. Grade Ac1, per annum
