As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join the team. This is a key role focused on building new business relationships within the public sector, working with high-order values and navigating long sales cycles.
The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will:
1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the public sector.
2. Identify, prospect, and engage decision-makers in government, local authorities, healthcare, and other public entities.
3. Lead complex sales cycles, demonstrating our value proposition and aligning solutions with client needs.
4. Prepare proposals, manage tenders, and negotiate high-value contracts.
5. Build and nurture long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, public sector regulations, and funding opportunities.
7. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
What We're Looking For
We want someone who can hit the ground running, so you should have:
1. Proven experience in business development, specifically selling IT services or SaaS solutions into the public sector.
2. A track record of closing high-value deals and managing long sales cycles.
3. Strong knowledge of the public sector procurement process and frameworks.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
5. A results-driven mindset with a passion for uncovering opportunities and driving growth.
6. The ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
7. A full, valid driving license and willingness to travel across Scotland as required.
