Joining our newly created parking management team as a Parking Management Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of the Council’s parking management strategies, including ensuring compliance with statutory procedures and delivering the associated infrastructure. This newly created team has been established to provide a dedicated resource to deliver this key line of work within the Council.
Reporting to the Parking Management Team Leader you will investigate and respond to parking enquiries from elected members and the general public. You will identify parking issues and develop parking schemes and promote Traffic Regulation Orders to manage parking demand. You will also work with Council stakeholders and external partners to deliver improved outcomes for a wide range of parking initiatives and projects.
With significant relevant experience, you will be educated to SVQ Level 3, HNC Level or equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject. Equally important, you will be a confident communicator, be customer focused, be IT literate and have good problem solving and analytical skills.
To be a success in this role you will require appropriate legislative and technical knowledge, You will ensure that project milestones are met producing reports as required. A self-motivated individual, you should be able to work under pressure to specific deadlines and directions, whilst working as part of a team.
You must hold a current driver’s licence as you will be expected to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire Council and this will include work out with public transport routes.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
