Support Worker- Avalon, Ripon- From £11.50 per hour Driver's licence Essential We are recruiting for the support team of a young female customer who is based in Ripon. Our customer has Global Development Delay and uses Makaton and simple words to communicate. She would like someone who can support her with her independence by working towards her goals and aspirations - could this be you? Our customer loves going on walks and going swimming so you will need to be able to participate in these activities with her. She is also keen on crafts so if you have artistic talents our customer would love you to share this with her. You will also be continuing with your support to her whilst she attends local day services. This customer is supported 5 days a week, working between the hours of 10am till 5pm so you must be available for work during these times. Of course, there will be an opportunity to work with other customers here at Avalon if you are available to work more hours outside of these times. You don't need previous care experience or qualifications we'll give you all the training and support you need to do the job to an incredibly high standard. A driver's licence is essential. As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include tasks such as: Supporting service users in meal planning, maintaining a clean home, and exploring their hobbies and interests. Assisting service users with outings and helping them engage more actively in their communities, empowering them to become more involved. Providing personal care to service users in their own homes. Assisting service users in accessing healthcare services and ensuring they take the necessary medication to maintain their health.
