We are excited to advertise this unique joint post between Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW).
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical pharmacist, who has a passion for pharmacy education to work collaboratively across both organisations, whilst still maintaining their core clinical skills with a three-day per week service attachment within frailty services in Ysbyty Cwm Cynon (YCC) and Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda (YCR).
As a Clinical Practice Facilitator for HEIW, the post holder will co-ordinate, quality assure and support the delivery of the funded undergraduate clinical placement programme across the South West Wales region and work in partnership with key stakeholders, including universities, local health boards as well as primary and community care organisations to ensure a standardised and consistent approach to the programme is maintained across Wales.
The successful applicant will also join an expanding and pioneering team of core educators across CTMUHB pharmacy division and be a role model for the profession and a champion for education. They will work closely with the teacher practitioner pharmacists to plan high quality placement schedules annually and as a key link between CTMUHB and HEIW, will be crucial in the successful delivery of the undergraduate placement programme across the division.
Main duties of the job

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) - Clinical Practice Facilitator (2 days per week):
The post holder will join a team of clinical practice facilitators within HEIW who use their knowledge and expertise of quality assurance frameworks and pharmacy learning outcomes to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of the new Funded Pharmacy Undergraduate Placement Programme (FPUPP) nationally. Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board - Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (3 days per week):
This time will be split between providing clinical pharmacy services at the YCC site and participating as a core member of the division's pharmacy team. Clinical services will include ward-based clinical care and dispensary sessions and as an educator, they will supervise and provide mentorship across the undergraduate program and post-registration foundation pharmacist training program. They will also support education transformation across our foundation and advanced practice career pathways and assist in the delivery of teaching to the wider multi-disciplinary team.

* Post graduate qualification in Clinical pharmacy/advanced pharmacy practice or equivalent experience
* Evidence of CPD
* Evidence of working in a multidisciplinary environment

* Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society
