At Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization, our mission is to support customer choice, transparency, and value when it comes to cloud infrastructure. We’re embarking on ambitious new initiatives such as building new innovative platforms, high performance primitives, frameworks to support OCI developers, and new container runtime that will allow us to run the full variety of OCI services, including our most demanding, high-performance, high-availability services.
As a Senior Manager of Software Development in the Data-Plane platform organization, you will build and lead a critical data-plane component used across OCI data-planes. The charter of the organization is to develop prescriptive guidelines, standard platform services, libraries and tools enable more efficient, reliable, and converged data-planes across OCI. You will build a team which brings together low-level systems knowledge and data plane expertise and work with our most senior technical leaders to define, design and develop solutions to some of the most complex problems.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and coach engineering teams to deliver successful products and services.
2. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation within the organization.
3. Launching new cloud services and establishing operational excellence.
4. Setting the technical direction for a foundational data-plane component used across OCI.
5. Coaching, mentoring, and developing best talent.
6. Establishing and stimulating software development standards and processes along with best practices for the team.
7. Defining new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization.
8. Sets Goals and Expectations for performance and works with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.
Basic Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of management experience in enterprise software.
2. 7+ years of experience with applications development with 2+ years in large scale distributed applications / web services/ systems design.
3. Proficient at programming in C/C++ (preferred), Rust (preferred), and Java.
4. Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 7+ years of management experience.
2. Prior development experience within Cloud Infrastructure or low level systems engineering.
3. Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
