Role - Project Manager Location - Central London, UK A key client of mine is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of multiple on-site solar PV projects across the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from site identification and feasibility assessment through to construction and completion. Key Responsibilities Project Identification & Feasibility Identify and assess potential solar PV opportunities across the client’s property portfolio. Conduct site feasibility studies and coordinate assessments in collaboration with solar energy partners. Ensure that newly acquired properties with existing solar installations are correctly integrated into the client’s systems. Project Planning & Implementation Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring smooth transition from initial feasibility studies to deployment and operational management. Develop and track project plans, budgets, and financial models, ensuring alignment with financial projections. Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and facilitate project execution. Financial & Commercial Management Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis for individual projects and the overall portfolio. Prepare capital expenditure approval documents to support investment decisions. Work with solar partners to engage stakeholders on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other contractual arrangements. Performance Monitoring & Operations Track system performance and financial returns to ensure optimal project outcomes. Collaborate with utilities and billing teams to integrate solar-enabled sites into existing systems. Work alongside Facilities Management (FM) teams to oversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) responsibilities. Industry Awareness & Compliance Stay informed about solar industry advancements, policy updates, and new technologies to refine project strategies. Provide insights to support business decision-making and ongoing model improvements. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a relevant field. At least 3 years of experience in on-site solar PV project development within the UK. In-depth knowledge of the UK solar PV sector, including regulations and permitting requirements. Experience working within institutional asset management and commercial operations. Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end solar project development, from assessment to completion. Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management skills. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities, with experience liaising with asset managers, FM teams, and tenants. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Right to work in the UK is essential. This role will be an initial 12 month contract with a high probability of extension and it is also Outside IR35.
