Location: (Office-based in ipswith site travel as required) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to support estimating and pre-contracts teams in preparing tender submissions. This is a key role involving the creation of programmes using Asta Powerproject, development of method statements, phasing drawings, and various pre-construction planning tasks. The role also offers the opportunity to support live construction sites, mentor junior team members, and deliver training in Asta Powerproject across teams. It is varied, collaborative, and ideal for someone looking to make a real impact in project planning and development. Key Responsibilities Undertake site visits to gather and report key planning information Develop tender programmes using Asta Powerproject Create supporting documentation including phasing plans and method statements Collaborate closely with estimating and construction teams on tender strategies Participate in client meetings and internal tender review sessions Provide mentoring and training to junior staff and colleagues in planning software Assist with technical issues and support programme updates during construction Deputise for the Planning Manager when required Support company procedures and contribute to internal planning meetings Represent the company’s core values and contribute to a positive working culture Key Skills & Requirements Background in civil engineering or construction with experience in planning Proficient in Asta Powerproject (training others is a plus) Solid understanding of construction programmes and methodology Strong IT skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook (Access is desirable) Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamworking skills Strong time management and ability to work to tight deadlines Willingness to travel to regional offices and construction sites as needed Full UK driving licence required Degree in a relevant construction discipline is desirable but not essential What’s Offered A dynamic and supportive working environment Professional development, including mentoring and training opportunities Encouragement towards achieving professional qualifications A role with real variety, collaboration, and autonomy
