Net Zero People are working with a leading Planning and Landscapes Consultancy focussing on the Renewables sector in the York area looking for a Senior Landscape Architect. We're looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing team and help lead the delivery of high-quality landscape projects, with a focus on landscape and visual assessment (LVA, LVIA) and related planning services. This is an exciting opportunity to work on nationally significant projects in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors, while also contributing to the strategic growth of our landscape architecture offering. About the Role As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in project delivery, client relationship management, and team mentoring. Reporting to the Head of Landscape Architecture, you’ll lead and support Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs), contribute to hearings and public examinations, and help drive technical excellence across the team. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Innovation Lead the preparation of LVIAs, landscape strategies, and visualisations. Support appeal and DCO examinations; opportunity to act as expert witness. Champion best practice in sustainable design, digital tools (GIS, 3D), and methodology. Client & Business Development Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulators. Contribute to tenders, proposals, and bids to secure new business. Represent the company at industry events and forums. Team & Culture Mentor and support junior team members. Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking workplace. Take part in CPD activities and support team-wide development. Commercial Awareness Input into project budgets, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time, to spec, and within budget. Strategic Growth Support the company’s growth strategy in key sectors. Help position the business as a leader in landscape architecture. What We’re Looking For A degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline. Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or working towards). Proven experience delivering LVIAs and landscape planning services. Excellent communication, project management, and mentoring skills.
