Job Title: Electronic Warfare Mission Data Lead Engineer
Salary: £55,000- £60,000 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Warton
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as an Electronic Warfare Mission Data Lead Engineer. The role will be based just outside of Preston and requires someone to be on site full time. The role will include some travel to supplier, partner and customer locations both in the UK and internationally occasionally.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join their Systems Mission Enablement Electronic Warfare (EW) Solutions Team as an Electronic Warfare Mission Data Lead Engineer working to design, develop and deliver the Typhoon EW Mission Data to multiple customers.
The Mission Enablement Solutions team design, develop and integrate a suite of electronic warfare products and provision Mission Data for the Eurofighter partner nations, in addition to key export nations. These products allow the nations’ air forces to develop, test and validate their Typhoon mission data before being loaded to the aircraft, in addition to post flight analysis.
Working in the Mission Enablement EW team is a challenging and rewarding experience that involves working across all stages of the engineering lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, logical and organised, as well as an effective team member. Possessing excellent communications skills to be able to forge lasting partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
* Extraction of Emitter Data from an RF Emitter Database using first principles.
* Performance of RF Emitter Ambiguity Analysis.
* Creation of DASS Receiver Search Strategies.
* Programming of DASS Mission Data utilising the DASS Mission Data Preparation Programme Toolsets.
* Mission Data Development and Test
* Supporting Customer Trials / Mission Data validation
* Providing responses to In Service Support Tasks
* Supporting Rigs, Flight Test and Problem Investigation

About You:
Essential:
* Familiar with Electronic Warfare principles and Mission Data Development
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Desirable:
* A degree educated in a STEM subject, HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle, or equivalent relevant experience
* Typhoon Mission Data experience
* Experience of managing small teams
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
