Procurement Manager – EMEA Indirect
Location: Warrington Site
Reporting to: Senior Manager, Global Indirect Procurement
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT INGEVITY
* Responsible for the indirect spend for manufacturing sites in EMEA, leading large cross-functional project teams through the sourcing and procurement process.
* Develop a regional plan based on the overall global category strategy, current market conditions, and the business environment.
* Perform indirect procurement functions, including bidder prequalification, contract selection, bid solicitation and evaluation, contract negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
* Maintain a strategic role with indirect materials and services for the EMEA region and support sourcing activities for critical materials.
* Resolve nonconformance issues, back-charges, and claims to minimize the Company's exposure.
* Leverage internal networks to deliver best-in-class performance and value creation.
* Lead development and execution of complex procurement strategies and projects.
* Collaborate effectively internally and with suppliers, responsible for the end-to-end cycle of category strategy, sourcing, contracting, and Supplier Management.
* Articulate and gain alignment from senior managers on procurement strategies.
* Bring industry-leading procurement practices to execute upon developed strategies.
* Responsible for supplier relationship management for key regional strategic suppliers.
* Develop negotiation strategies aligned with business strategies and lead negotiations to completion.
* Analyse financials, market risk, and supply risk for each project.
* Knowledge of legal and commercial terms with the ability to negotiate and draft legal language.
* Drive results through analytics, business acumen, and developing business cases to support Procurement initiatives.
* Consolidate spending and provide thought leadership to achieve organization outcomes.
* Manage, coach, and develop Site Buyer(s) assisting with day-to-day buying duties.
* Liaise with Global Procurement for effective coordination of site purchasing activities.
* Define and manage supplier performance reviews including audits.
* Work with the engineering team on procurement strategies for capital expenditures.
* Work with operations, maintenance, and lab teams on service and supplies procurement.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management; MBA and/or CPM/CPSM preferred, OR a minimum of 10 years of relevant procurement experience.
* A minimum of five years of procurement experience in relevant business categories.
* Minimum of two years of experience leading large global procurement initiatives.
* Successfully led negotiations for global, multi-year contracts in indirect categories.
* Minimum of two years of previous experience managing direct report(s).
* Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* Project management skills preferred.
* Travel up to 10% as required for supplier audits and visits.
* Must be a team player and adapt well to a fast-paced environment.
* General knowledge of SAP and Coupa or other Source-to-Pay solutions preferred.
