Job Title: Night Assistant

Salary: £24,627 per annum, plus 10% night shift allowance
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 2 Week Rolling Rota including some weekends and Bank Holidays

The difference you will make as a Night Assistant
Working across a defined geographical area, you will assist in the delivery of a high-quality support, security, and housing service to the clients of our supported schemes.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
* IT Skills including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Riverside, completing relevant IT training where required.

Role Profile
* Have an awareness of the clients' support needs and contribute as directed to the delivery of their agreed outcomes.
* Implement night security systems, ensuring overall safety and security of the scheme.
* Meet the requirements of health and safety policies and practices.
* Effectively deal with anti-social behaviour.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness within schemes, preparation of rooms, and site inspections.
* Effectively record information including adding updates to the Support database and Housing Management database.
* Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.
* Ensure culture and diversity issues have been considered across the client group and tackle any forms of discrimination, adhering to equality and diversity procedures.
* Promote and encourage a high level of client involvement, consultation, and communication.
* Assist service users with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent, and other scheme requirements.
* Use IT systems appropriately.
* Respond to faults as discovered.
* Ensure a warm welcome and maintain inviting Reception areas as per the Psychologically Informed Environment standards.
* Contribute to the stock control, purchasing, and storage of consumables required by the service.
* Provide administrative support to the Housing Team and Service Managers.
Service Delivery

* Work within a multi-disciplinary team of housing and support staff, and meet the requirements of a rota system within a defined geography (small group of schemes).
* Be involved in team meetings, training events, and attend regular supervisions, as appropriate.
* Assist colleagues in meeting key performance indicators (voids, arrears, and outcome targets).
* Adhere to equality and diversity policies in all aspects of service delivery.
* Assist housing team colleagues in the delivery of quality housing management.
* Liaise with colleagues to ensure that the service promotes empowerment and independence, ensuring effective exchanges of information with team members and day staff.
* Report repairs to maintenance contractors by using appropriate systems.
Other duties
* Provide a high-quality, customer-oriented service.
* Constantly review work outputs, set improvement targets, and appraise individual performance.
* Participate in the work of the Divisional team, encouraging innovation.
* Undertake personal development and training as necessary to keep up to date with legal, political, financial, and other developments in the fields of housing and customer service.
* Ensure compliance with Riverside’s Equality and Diversity policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
* Ensure that all data is compliant with legislation and policies relating to data quality.
* Actively promote Riverside locally.
* Perform any other relevant duties as required by the designated manager.
