Technical Support Specialist
Location: Head Office - Crick
⏰ Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off - 12-hour shifts

Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Are you passionate about IT and problem-solving? We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for all technical queries within our Technical Services Department. If you thrive in troubleshooting, remote maintenance, and network monitoring, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and maintain telecommunications networks proactively and reactively.
Validate and allocate jobs to engineers, ensuring efficiency in operations.
Send remote updates, including patches, screen changes, and password resets.
Manage stock tracking systems for routers and Bybox inventory.
Monitor engineer workloads and optimize task distribution.
Provide technical support via phone to internal and external customers.
Track and troubleshoot faults across various telecom networks.
Monitor alarm systems and contribute to minimizing downtime.
Work collaboratively within the second-line helpdesk team.
Prepare daily handovers for night staff and other colleagues.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Minimum 5 GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent.
✅ IT literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
✅ Basic understanding of TCP-IP connections and network setups.
✅ Previous experience in a helpdesk environment.
✅ Experience in a technical support role (desirable but not essential).
