Employer Engagement Consultant - Support To Succeed
The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for an Employer Engagement Consultant on our Support to Succeed programme to provide a quality recruitment service to The Work Company’s customers and employers.
We help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.
Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health and debt.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a range of activity that produces leads and create the opportunity to sell products and services to employers, placement hosts and VCSEs.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with The Growth Company colleagues to build the number of referrals received.
3. Work with those employers, placement hosts and VCSEs engaged to identify their recruitment and workforce development needs before selling appropriate services to them from The Work Company and The Growth Company product range. In doing so, to maximise income through the sale of multiple Group services.
4. Develop ongoing relationships with employers, placement hosts and VCSEs, who have used services previously, ensuring that repeat business is generated and, where appropriate, that new services from the Group’s product range are taken up.
5. Source suitable vacancies for The Work Company’s customers.
6. Meet customers regularly to ensure a good knowledge of the customer base and vacancies needed.
7. Advertise all vacancies internally (and externally where appropriate) clearly and concisely.
8. Compile employer feedback and ensure this is distributed to ETCs/Key Workers/Learning Mentors.
9. Develop a thorough understanding of the Group’s product range and make referrals to product teams across the Group against monthly targets.
About you:
10. A warm, approachable style to delivery is required in order to build relationships and rapport.
11. Excellent knowledge of the local labour market, methods of recruitment, and growth industries.
12. Good knowledge of welfare to work and the customer base.
13. Ability to work to challenging targets and KPIs.
14. Flexible approach to work including willingness to travel and working occasional unsociable hours.
15. Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management, and e-mail.
Skills Required:
16. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
17. Must have previous sales experience.
18. Recent experience working to challenging targets within a sales environment.
19. Previous experience in securing vacancies and subsequently securing job starts.
20. Ability to make contact with decision makers, identifying business opportunities and closing contracts.
21. Knowledge of recruitment and training services.
22. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate with employers, placement hosts and VCSEs, maximising sales as well as managing expectations and dealing with complaints.
23. Networking and communication skills, both written and oral.
