We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Accountant to join our team and provide financial support to the HR directorate. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career, eager to apply their knowledge and grow in a practical setting. The job involves helping deliver the monthly management accounts, calculating and posting journals, and aiding in post month-end analysis. You will also help produce reporting and financial analysis to be delivered to the business, focused on delivering value-adding insights. You will be supported by both the Finance Manager and the previous incumbent of the HR accountancy role, ensuring a smooth transition and a solid foundation for professional development within the company. You will work in our Crawley office, although there will be ad-hoc travel to our London office (15 minutes from London Bridge) where some of our HR team are based - for monthly management meetings along with regular business partnering. Dimensions: Support Finance is a team of 5 responsible for Business Partnering with 9 directorates across UKPN. Support Finance sits within the wider Finance Business Partnering team of 35. Principal Accountabilities: Help produce monthly management accounts which represent company performance. Identify and investigate variances to plan and ensure these are communicated and understood by, the business. In-person attendance & contribution to regular management meetings with senior figures from the business. Help prepare the annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts. Qualifications/Skills: Commitment to pursuing an accountancy qualification, either as a prospective studier or part-qualified accountant. Prior work experience in a finance environment would be preferential. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel. Analytical skills. Work collaboratively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic work setting.
